My Take on Social Media: how do I use social media as an individual.




Alright, let’s be real—social media’s everywhere, right? You can’t escape it. As a student and a total tech geek, I’ve spent way too much time scrolling through feeds, but I’ve also figured out how to make it work for me. It’s not just about braindead memes and cat videos (though, guilty). For me, it’s a powerhouse for learning, connecting, and staying ahead of the game. and I will be showing how do I use the single best invention of the human race have ever and will ever create to my advantage.

Research: My Feed’s My Newsroom

You must’ve heard how social media’s a rabbit hole, but for me, it’s a goldmine for staying updated. I’m obsessed with tech—AI, productivity hacks, you name it—and platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn are my go-to's. I follow big brains like AI researchers and software devs who drop real-time gems. For example, I’ve snagged links to free tools and papers from Twitter threads that I’d never find otherwise. Just open your phone and voilà—knowledge at your fingertips.

Learning: YouTube’s My Classroom

Next up, I use social media to level up and learn new skills. Y'know those 4-hour crash courses floating around? They are my bread and butter... Instagram’s got creators dropping bite-sized tips too, and even Facebook groups hook me up with resources. It’s basically a free university, with no tuition required. Perfect for a broke student like me—trust me, it’s a game-changer.

Let’s not kid ourselves—social media’s got its traps. I’ve lost hours to random reels (oops), but I’ve learned to keep it in check. in the end, It’s all about critical thinking. checking source materials, credentials, and raw intuition. turning this medieval double-edged sword into a single-edged katana ready for war.
